IMHO. Schools instill a lack of curiosity and a lack of critical thinking resulting in digesting news that aligns with a myopic world view.

That view could most closely be correlated to the "God Spot" theory in that they only see what aligns with what they believe.

All of us see via the portal of our individual perceptions, experiences and filters. It may be our fatal flaw. It's a working theory atm.
