Nope. He uses one special alcohol to extract the essence from the flowers. And then spends several days evaporating the alcohol.

That results in a black paste. That paste is diluted in oil so it can be manipulated. My oil is almost black

That tastes yucky IMO. It's a different thing than refined oils. Been around a long time but often use too many chemicals, BHO, PHO, Ethanol

So if it's RSO, it's best used in a very specific dosing. Are you following the "grain" method - one grain more each day for 3 months?

That is a tincture, not a pure oil extract. Tinctures can and often do have more vegetation and taste. This is oil: clearconcentrate.com/
