Actually it's not. We know why separation of layers matters. CSS in JS is basically Geocities & MySpace 1 all over again..

Monolithic hosted service that allowed basic website creation without cascadence or precedence. Overuse of JS involved.

However, the value of Geocities was that it definitely got people interested in JavaScript. Good. Now we're in 2.0 of that era again? Yikes!
