Do you ever catch yourself in a thought with the thought "Damn, I'm SUCH a Sheldon!"

More like I my parents watch tbbt and I say "lol me" @ what he says. But general dislike of tht show, as previously discussed 😶

Mainly I feel uncomfortable w/ Sheldon as "textbook Autistic" while writers deny it but still write him to harmful tropes

They've always denied it. "Sheldon is just Sheldon" - I understand why you'd feel that way. I find his depiction reassuring!

different era perhaps? It's been more than a decade since the show started. Early episodes were wholly unique at the time!

I think some of it for me is that I grew up watching the show. And I liked Sheldon a lot bc that was *me* (...)
