Cool color stuff: Shell script to display the 216 #RGB "safe" colors as we knew them. Remains confusing for many! #webdev #webdesign #ux #ui

The 8 system colors varied, but here is a shell script that lays out the 216 colors.

The sRGB color space was not defined until 1995. An sRGB display of these colors is technically not correct.

I remember when sRGB was introduced. Do you have anything explaining what is not technically accurate between RGB and sRGB?

I need to find the original standard for the 216 colors. I have a script for a video that explains terminal color modes.

From the "would have could have should have been" list, my color books and research work - well I sure could have used you.

I am just a tenacious digger for information to explain something. I can't get away from "why".

We share that. I came out of the womb that way, apparently. My first word was "paradox" and second was "why" (sez Mom) lol!
