Waiting for Broadband. In a town with 40+ certified providers that is Waiting for Godot. Where is the free broadband in every major city?

Oh and I don't mean Broadband at the library Broadband I mean Citywide provided by companies like Google who claimed to be working on this.

I'm not sure I'd like Google to provide my Internet :)

I understand and also, you have the luxury of choice. And please know it is a luxury in this world. Free and open access to all.

yeah but I'd rather give money to the city for this. Public equipment is public.
