I honestly think I'm too honest. Everything is out with me. And in the moment. So what I said five minutes ago may already have a revision!

I look at the question differently: it's very hard to know how much I'm lying to myself, so true honesty remains a goal.

Semantics! Lying to yourself, or avoiding a truth? There's a difference. Lying changes a story.. Avoidance delays and can help.

Oh I like that. I don't view that as lying. Illusions and assumptions are also part of the human framework. Buggy but we have em.

I realize we can all be bought. But I bask in abject innocence of how low a price I'd sell out for, if things were dire enough.

I don't know that's true. People have tried to "sway" loyalty or commentary using shiny promises. The answer was no way no how.
