I hear you. I'm the queen of type, so I can't also cotton to too many plugins, and I haven't had Flash on desktop in YEARS.

For a Typography Queen those were not good years. We've come very far. I am fascinated with type and people who are type types. :D

Now I bask in privilege with $15/month Monotype Desktop subscription at @fonts.com, and daughter is amazing 26-yo woman.

I avoid Frameworks. People should know the code. If JavaScript then semantic markup and cascading style sheets.

the Cascade and semantics exist for a reason. They are declarative for a reason. semantics means meaningful.
