One thing, we as a society, need to get good at is seeing a person's REAL value. TNG could teach us a lesson.

If we can't even see our own value how can we see another person, truly?

IMHO, the answer lies in the fact that we have gotten too far away from caring about each other. We are ALL worth something.

I've been thinking of "worth" and "deserve" a lot and believe these words are useless in empiric study as they are relative.

Empirically? Yeah, probably not a good scale. Theologically, or even from a "I care about people" scale? All have worth. Lots.
