- gopher is still in use, is it not? i used a coupler a few times in jobs. same with a 300-baud modem. i was all-in after that.

yes @bbirdiman Gopher still exists :) You can access gopher sites with Web browsers even, if you have the address just gopher://it <--- HA!

I remember having to design icons for the gopher server at my college back in 1994 - my first st website project!
