Despite the loss of semantics in HTML5, the abilities we have now to build actual Web applications (like @vivaldibrowser). Can both coexist?

And to put a shine on it, no, this code never existed in an .html document prior to HTML5 unless someone drank future juice.
The actual HTML file (not the HAML, my mistake, darnit blink and the world is different!) is also empty of relevance :(

I think my message was poorly worded as I'm a bit in shock over the lack of #a11y when I was thinking we'd made progress.

that is a=due to a) authorship b) was happening long before HTML5 c) SVG2 provides methods to add semantics via ARIA
