Despite the loss of semantics in HTML5, the abilities we have now to build actual Web applications (like @vivaldibrowser). Can both coexist?

So how do we end up with that? That's my point.
I'm not saying it's not possible. I'm just reporting what I'm seeing.
I don't think so. I think there's a generation here that's fascinated by "drawing with math" - interesting.
