Here now is my ethical question: If you are told about a crime through back-channel discourse and it could be a falsehood, what do you do?

Had to deal with this a little while ago. We determined it was false, but nothing happened to the lier. It could have been bad.

I'm sorry for that. I had hoped better of us. I wanted - still want - the Web to be a better system socially and technically.

I view the web as an exponential magnifier. Sometimes that which is magnified is pure and wonderful, others not. Good overcomes
