Any #photo tips for shooting nighttime, dark on dark with bright background on an aging HTC? I'm a good shot but a pretty bad photographer.

So true, as is proven when mixing light and color, and color with color. In the presence of an orange, a mango looks pink.

Exactly! It's pretty neat, these tricks our eyes play ;-) However, I am sure this study can be photographed more effectively.

That's a good technique. I'm all for "fresh eyes" - although not useful on this particular series of #000 on #000 photos. :-)
