@mholzschlag same here in the UK. I had to fight to NOT be given morphine after my op, but they won’t legalise medical marijuana.

@rachelandrew it's fine to give people meds with horrible side effects, easy to overdose on, addictive, deadly despite far safer botanicals.

@mholzschlag I think basing the argument on those semantics is problematic, but I do agree on opiates vs. marijuana specifically.

@WasabiFlux Fair point, but if I got real specific about the opiate problem, we'd cut right into literally the most foul bits of our bodies!
