I need help examining my wreckage. I want to understand how I failed so it never happens again in this sense. How do you face your failures?

@mholzschlag the important part is to get the emotions turned off if you want to be unbiased.

@hittsjunk Exactly! That's where I do not have the "pause point" - I'm very impulsive and impatient. I feel off? I have to fix it Right Now.

@mholzschlag Bad events taught me how to shut down emotions when needed. Until you learn that figuring out what happened will be difficult.

@hittsjunk Um, I think I have reached one life's quota of bad events, thanks. I don't need more bad events. I need more self-control.

@mholzschlag I found learning self-control takes a lot of hard work and has a lot of setbacks. Good luck, I'm still working on it too.
