Dropping media queries seems to be popular lately. #webdev #webdesign #css #rwd #ux folks, what's your take on this?

@asbig Personally do not see promoted as relevant if in fact the source origin is real (@netmag) and the content is timely and of interest.
@asbig Perhaps I didn't write the tweet clearly enough. Asking specifically: What do you think about the trend of dropping media queries?
@asbig I think you mean: Denied by *your* settings in Firefox.

@asbig Don't you set up at least one browser to your own preferences? My dev set-up is not myself-as-user set-up, since around 1994 or so.
@asbig Because you have a developer setup and test the heck out of your work, that's how! /me scratches head as this is common practice!
@asbig I understand wanting to emulate what other users experience - this is why you test sites on users. But AS the user? Revel in options!
@asbig I don't know how long you've been at web, but I pound the hell out of browsers until I know them inside out. That's our runtime!
@asbig What do you mean by "clear the cache 'and stuff'?" - that "and stuff" is clear as mud ;-) Perhaps therein lies confusion?
@asbig Okay, wshew. Very sorry for any confusion!
Replying to @mholzschlag
@mholzschlag I might have been doing rwd in 2003 ...

@POWRSURG It's possible. They were in the specs and maybe one browser? My history-on-demand brain cell was damaged in the chemo storm.
