I mean that question quite literally. WHY are the Web professions so demanding of us? Or we of them? Is it fear of losing momentum perhaps?

@skeletonkey @mholzschlag Peer pressure is hard. More care needs to be taken. It's not worth it if your mental health is put at risk.

@skeletonkey @sassquad True, but "seems" is the operative word in that sentence. We expend a lot of energy on "seeming" to be many things!
