@mollydotcom The "standard" I celebrate today is moving from <table> based layouts to CSS; was a huge step for progress. Standards evolve.

Believe it or not @smarty TABLES WERE MEANT FOR LAYOUT. In the original table specs, @draggett proposed JUST THAT.

@mollydotcom you're lucky. I've never been to any conferences, save @HighEdWeb when I was a student and my boss worked on the conference :-\
