Yes, I like "webthangs" or "thingies" in theory, but in practice they have no semantic use.

I agree with the "far too many" buzzwords issue. But how would marketers otherwise justify their work? :-O I kid. I think! :P

Maybe we should go back to "web page", sounds a bit archaic but a web app and a web site both have at least one web page.

Using page is problematic semantically as well. The one page app isn't a page, it's really a scroll.
