why isn't synthesist an occupation?

@mwiik because the variants of the word are too difficult to pronounce. I was trying this the other day. I kid you not!

@mollydotcom ...'closing triangles' has been an underlying thought for me for some time now.

@mwiik intrigued! "Closing Triangles" begs a diagram and explanation.

@mollydotcom my thinking is someone in a social media space could recognize potential opportunities arising from connecting disparate others

@mollydotcom a real-life analog might be conflict resolution, though that's more local. Ive heard up to 1/3 of US workers are 'guard labor'

@mollydotcom if so, we might employ many more people cheaply as social nudgers (guard labor is expensive). e.g.
ever wonder if google has vast rooms where hundreds of employees scan huge Tweetdeck displays and gently #nudge humanity via clever tweets?

@mwiik I like bringing disparate people together. I find dramatically different perspectives a critical aspect of group problem-solving.

@mwiik I do now! :-) thank you very much. I'm studying and working with systems theory. Problem-solving models are right in my wheelhouse.
