It confused me how upset people were. I saw Caligula as a teenager, for example. I understand #GoT seems gory to some, I just don't get WHY.

@stefsull Martin talks about that in interviews. I like his approach. We want happy endings. But that's not life. Bold approach to fiction.

@mollydotcom Yea, we're trained to believe in the happy ending. Endings aren't always happy. Sometimes, they're not even endings.
