It confused me how upset people were. I saw Caligula as a teenager, for example. I understand #GoT seems gory to some, I just don't get WHY.

@mollydotcom Funny. It works for him because it's the opposite of what we expect—except now we expect it. So they should LIVE next season.

@stefsull Martin talks about that in interviews. I like his approach. We want happy endings. But that's not life. Bold approach to fiction.
