It confused me how upset people were. I saw Caligula as a teenager, for example. I understand #GoT seems gory to some, I just don't get WHY.

@mollydotcom Caligula is eighty times more lewd than any episode of #GoT, ever.

@johndunagan Lewd and violent. Caligula is brutality squared compared to @GoT
@SkepticalApeAZ @stefsull I haven't read the books and I won't until the series is completely over (or I or George RR Martin have passed)
@SkepticalApeAZ @stefsull I appreciate that Dear Skeptical Ape. My fear is if I read the books now I'll be pissed off at the series.

@mollydotcom It wasn't the goriness that upset me. It was the KILLING ALL THE THINGS I LOVED! ;)

@stefsull Robb didn't do it for me. The only character I really felt sad losing was Catelyn.

@SkepticalApeAZ @mollydotcom I haven't read the books. When I'm sailing around the world later, I'll get them on my Kindle. ;)

@stefsull @SkepticalApeAZ It's an odd issue. Many of the actors don't read the books or watch the series, or do so in quirky ways.
