People are missing my #a11y point. I think the entire mission should be scrapped. All of it. Instead, we integrate it into core engineering.

@SteveBuell How come it's so obvious to me yet 30 years into a career I'm still head-banging?
@SteveBuell Vendors count less by the hour. Build AT into the software. End of their non-cooperation.
@SteveBuell Well, when we define "shit code" without so many fucking checklists as "accessible" code then we'll have a longer talk. #a11y
@SteveBuell Yes, that can be true, Steve. But not necessarily. @chriseppstein - long. long, so long I've said our mistakes are now in JS.
@SteveBuell @chriseppstein Do either of you have *the* panacea for all that ails our industry? By all means, step up and explain. Please!

@SteveBuell @chriseppstein Just because one espouses pragmatism doesn't mean one can PRACTICE it. Remediation is a flimsy flimsy bandaid.
@SteveBuell @mollydotcom Then I don't know how to do it right.

@chriseppstein Explain a little more. I'm not agreeing with @SteveBuell - do you "add on " accessibility (whatever that means)

@SteveBuell @mollydotcom of course it is. But in a world of constrained resources priorities must be set and trade-offs must be made.

@chriseppstein won't argue the truth, Chris. Prioritization is key, as is flexibility and consensus. You are very fair in all. @SteveBuell
