Poll: As a Web designer, do you feel you should learn code? As a developer, do you feel you should understand UX/design/interaction design?

@mollydotcom Yes. In our agency we have a lot of crossover between design and dev, and it makes things so much easier.

@mollydotcom As a developer I feel it *vastly* improves life being able to communicate in design terminology. Makes life easier for everyone

@mollydotcom On the first, not necessarily. On the second, yes. Can design w/out knowing details of how it will work under the hood.

@mollydotcom But it makes things easier to build the functionality if you have a basic understanding of the whys of the UX/Design.
