Poll: As a Web designer, do you feel you should learn code? As a developer, do you feel you should understand UX/design/interaction design?

@mollydotcom understand: Absolutely. It doesn’t mean you need to do it as part of your job though. Same for all complimentary skills.

@mollydotcom As a dev/coder, I consider it *critical* to understand UX and IxD, and wish I knew plain-ol' visual design better.

.@mollydotcom Just banging out code means nothing if it doesn't help the user succeed. You can't say code "works" if no one can use it.
