I think I worked it out: For some, print is a measure of "done." For Web, that's falsehood and danger. Web is agile, iterative and adaptive.

@mollydotcom there is no permadeath in web the way there is in print. Growth & iteration can end up with multiple archives of content.
@mollydotcom I wonder if, more than that, it's the concept of "done" that's outdated.
@mollydotcom print gives simple people confidence. It won’t change. It left the computer, so it’s finished.
