Devastated over the Connecticut shooting. Only heard bits in flight. Why are schools and children the targets of maniacs and terrorists?

@mollydotcom AFAIK the mother of the attacker was teaching there. Outside US people ask why access to automatic rifles is constitutional o_O
@aebadirad Never in 30 years was a shooting ended by an armed civilian. In the US more people are shot in one day than in the UK in a year…
@mollydotcom maybe it's a sign that we should be home schooling instead of shipping our kids off for the day.
