Air conditioner stopped blowing. The house is absolutely quiet. I've shared walls to left and right but no shared utilities or air ducts.

@mollydotcom I'm not a fan of quiet - I buy the cheapest possible floor fan (as long as it's not marked QUIET) to tune out the world

@NancySeeger only my last ditch effort when drowning out other sounds. My home is almost always peaceful, as I want and need it to be.

@NancySeeger I have a brother and an ex that both require the fan solution. When traveling: Foam earplugs. Pink ones, naturally ;)
