I got the 1 minute snippet. 👍 The main reason for open standards, is to get royalty free licensing of all the patents w3.org/Consortium/Patent/ Held by all the companies, w3.org/Consortium/Member/Lis… That could otherwise tax or own our #Thoughtware. If I can help further let me know.

That's a very very important piece of the open web I would say but it is nothing to do with the ideology of the intersection of society and technology for the good not the criminal and net worth crap. and we have not met a single design principle in three decades consistently.
