So much of our economy relies on the web, it would almost be like banking or the electricity completely shutting down. Now, would the world be better if the web never existed? Could be. Did we really need this automation? Are we getting more vacation? Naw.

Would you agree that would be a utility? pay bills buy stuff use the web largely as a utilitarian purpose? I think in many ways it has those features and they are some of the most unfair economic situations in history at this point what do you think?

The web as a utility has some unfairness: computer literacy required & accessibility issues. Taken away, would that an equalizer? If the web is a utility, then it should make me efficient. But if I spend time saved on the unproductive web, it might be a wash/net negative.

I agree with you! Just meant to say one aspect of the web is utility. If available! availability is accessibility if something on the web is not available no matter the cause whether economy, literacy, language, location, there can be no accessibility! :-)
