It’s my job to make sure the election is administered securely & accurately. Today, I submitted a friend-of-the-court brief to remind the Cochise County Board of Supervisors that hand counting every ballot is illegal. Their recent actions are cause for concern. 1/

Last week, the Board agreed to follow the law & clarified they voted to expand the hand count audit of some voting locations. Now, they are backtracking to a full hand count. This would introduce human error, threaten ballot security, and risk the integrity of the election. 2/

I’m committed to making sure our midterm election is free, fair, and secure in the face of these conspiracy-driven demands. The court should swiftly shut down this unlawful effort so that our trusted, local election officials can do their jobs. 3/
