I feel the Web Standards Project needs a reboot to start shaming people. Chrome is the new MSIE.

Shaming was never our way.

It did feel like that was the direction we pushed at the _browser makers_ (as opposed to site builders). Maybe shame is the wrong word, but the late 00s felt very much like a unified community chastising (?) browser makers and educating website builders.

Many of the folks in WaSP were representatives of various browser engines. The discussions were more encouragement & guidance. @mholzschlag & @meyerweb could speak to this far better than I can. My involvement in WaSP was on the learning & curriculum development side of things.
