Who laughs at WordPress? Why? It has market share of content publishing I was at the first launch party in San Francisco at Matt's new place when he moved from Texas. We worked on web standards project Etc his work has changed the web and the world. No laughing matter, that!

It got me started with my career too but I was glad to get away from it. I think it’s still great for individual blogs but it’s been overused by cheaper digital agencies who try to shoehorn everything into it. I think I resented them more than WordPress itself.

I just realized where I'd heard that story it was Flash. You'd have people doing very intelligent work really lovely and appropriate for what they were doing and designers loved that pixel perfection. But boy did people, particularly certain agencies, abuse it and users too!
