So Awesome @AaronGustafson moved the web standards project site and it's back up, but do remember it's as ancient as my back molar. Lots of historical value there for sure! Fact: Aaron and I first co-presented on CSS 2.0(?) last minute at what I believe was the final Comdex! (1).

We winged the presentation FTW!. Comdex was huge, 300,00 folks filling half of Las Vegas. It was ancient times before social media, iPhones, MBPs, Android, "smart" tech, gmail, Chrome, it sounds so weird but it was a really optimistic Web then. Here we are later on a SXSW panel.

2003 was the last show and than it only had 40,000 attendees. It went bankrupt soon thereafter and was almost bought by Microsoft. I went to at least six or more of them and the one with 300,000 people was close to the end. Comdex had close to 200 shows in Vegas. Different world!

Cool do you remember what year that South by Southwest was? I don't even know what we were talking about on that panel. I swear time just goes so much faster as you age and if you don't believe it folks just wait and see. We worked hard we played hard but boy it flew by so fast.
