I still think a big part of the problem is that we’re fitting two very different things under the “web development” umbrella: web sites and web apps. Once you have a clearer mental model of which of the two you’re building, framework choices get a little easier.
It's challenging in today's web development. There is a whirlwind of so many options and so much noise the signal seems to be lost. The model of HTML CSS and JavaScript is still with us but it's obfuscated by too many choices. What thoughts do you have on a clear way forward?

I couldn't agree more. The Paradigm shifted we thought we could do it all with CSS and HTML and deliver that to as many devices as possible whether application or site. But that isn't panning out and we're not addressing that issue is my thought.
