It's challenging in today's web development. There is a whirlwind of so many options and so much noise the signal seems to be lost. The model of HTML CSS and JavaScript is still with us but it's obfuscated by too many choices. What thoughts do you have on a clear way forward?

Ditch 90% of JavaScript frameworks and CSS preprocessors and get back to writing clean and accessible HTML and CSS use JS for validation and forms most animations etc are all done in CSS these days anyways … JS frameworks lead to bad code which is not accessible …

I really like this answer but I don't know if it's practical when hundreds of thousands of developers around the world are taking different approaches and there's no unity and community to powerfully express what it is we're really trying to accomplish is very frustrating to me.

Well, *We* should be trying to build better user experiences. The reality is, that the priority of the vast majority is bragging about the shiny new object they're rubbing their genitalia with. Too much #GroupThink and not enough #TruthSeeking :(

Way to make me laugh and spit coffee at the same time. There's truth here but it's not just user interfaces it's the underlying code we have to be very clean on both and we're sloppy and we're just running to build shiny objects without thinking. Running with shiny objects?

💯 this is a huge problem with NPM it was supposed to be the magic silver bullet to give packaging to JS however it gave us a dependency nightmare …
