(2/9) There is a very subtle and unjustified positioning of the brain as causally central (unsurprisingly, given the investment in neuroscience). To be clear from the start, *of course* the brain is involved, but positioning it independently/centrally here and elsewhere...

(3/9)...goes far beyond this. It imports the idea that the brain is/becomes the *location* of the problem, which is not evidenced nor does it follow. The key passage is here: "Traumatic experiences such as abuse and neglect can change the way a child’s brain develops...."

You are hitting on something very important and that is this whole obsession with the brain as if it is the entire Center of everything that happens to us and it really is not. We really need to stop the Mind Body split which is a falsehood.
