This song is dedicated to me as I withdraw from the very last pharmaceutical I'm prescribed. In detail you can read it on Facebook but this was the original Valium that the Rolling Stones wrote about in the song Mother's Little Helper. Here's to tomorrow. youtube.com/qUQX7uSh7ms

Good luck to you, Molly! Wishing you well. Incidentally, there's a new Netflix series you might enjoy - Michael Pollan's "How to Change Your Mind." It's a dive into the healing potential of psychedelics. I've long been eager to try psilocybin therapy to replace pharmaceuticals

I haven't, myself, though that's definitely a goal. The Pollan docuseries covers that a bit & there's definitely a lot that needs study but there are tons of self-reports of positive effects. What's even crazier is that even a one-time standard dose can give long-lasting benefits

My main open question is whether something like psilocybin therapy would even work for me, since I take Lexapro; I've read that SSRIs interfere w/ psychedelic effects since they work on the same neurotransmitters. Unclear if that just means weaker effects, or actually none at all

I don't know how long you plan to stay on your SSRI or what treatment modality is that you've got set up but you're going to talk about it in private that's fine too but I aim for getting off ASAP the longer you're on it the worst it is Herman Li going to leave some problems.
