I know we all kinda hate flying, but last week and now today are the first time I’ve flown in five years, and I can’t believe how much better it is with apps. Gate change? Notification! Bags loaded? Notification! Flight delay? Notification!

Hi Molly it's Molly! I flew in May first time in 9 years due to major illness, loss of husband and Mom. it was clean and pleasant I was amazed! People were polite, travel felt dignified. Even a delay didn't feel awful compared to the 20 years I lived in hotels or above 35,000 ft!

Hi Molly! :-) I’m sorry about your illness and your losses. Glad you had a good travel experience, though. I think people seem more patient, overall, than they used to.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and yes it was a very pleasant experience. And it didn't appear to me at least as if people were trying to make everything nice nice they were actually either becoming accustomed to being nice or just perhaps the isolation of covid for so long?

I think there’s also a realization that acting like a jerk is a good way to become the Internet Person of the Day. :-) But I’m seeing people let others go first, help with bags, etc.

This is not to say I didn't need lovely people along my travel routes I did in fact I made friends that I stay in contact here on Twitter today as well as Facebook that I met randomly in airports and train stations and we got to talking and made friends via online socializing.
