I keep trying to sleep at around 12AM, but for some reason my biology's meant to stay up late. I love the calm and the quiet of the night. The clarity it brings. The focus that it allows.

You're a nightbird! I tend to be nocturnal and with age am starting to model my already severe insomnia after my mom's rhythms before her passing. Sleep by night work by day isn't for everyone! Cortisol reduces pain, our circadian rhythms dance to their own drums! :)

I hope you get enough sleep during the day to make up for the insomnia. It's hard to get things done without sleep. I might just get into the 4am club to get the benefits of the night but still be early? Have you ever tried that?

Since I've been away from living out of a suitcase the last few years I've been able to stay home and I find myself sleeping in fits and starts I think it's a product of possibly genetics definitely age. Focus problems tend to only come about when it goes on too long.
