This sickens me. I feel very fortunate that I had a mother who was a professor and encouraged reading to the point where we had a lot of books in the house and if we could reach the book on the shelf and do it without bothering her, we kids could read any book we wanted.

Good. That happened with Maus. Sales shot through the roof. Now we see everything is about gender identity that's being banned. Arizona is committing awful by placing restrictions on trans rights and abortion. What are we trying to do unravel whatever progress we may have made?

Yeah i still haven't been able to get a copy of Maus, always out of stock when I look. Why unravel progress? Power, money, control, the usual list of evils i suppose.

Fear of other. Us versus them. Morality and belief systems that operate on nothing factual and everything imagined. Pure mythology. It's a form of passive genocide. And therein lies the rub because passive genocide sets a precedent for actual genocide. It's historically a pattern
