You know as I age I find the constant topic of sex and sexuality to be very base and unappealing. Sure the drive to procreate is hardwired. we don't have to make it so important. There is so much more to life and focusing on one thing is very limiting. Mix it up a little bit.

I think there are many people like this but when we speak up people attack us as if we're somehow damaged. Spending a lifetime focused on one thing is so limiting.

And let's not kid ourselves age has very little to do with sex as does menopause. Senior citizens have a rising rate of STDs. Sex occurs in nursing homes late-in-life all the time. It just depends on the individual. Point was more the constant focus on sex throughout life.

In my experience that's true. There have been definite times where sex drive has then stronger than others. And it's biased. I was raped as a minor multiple times I had gynecological problems. I had a lot of fun. I see it as entertainment. But not a defining aspect of life.

There are so many people with abuse in their past that become hateful or shut down that never happens to me I feel fortunate but perhaps it's my personality which is resilient. Once I had my own authority that made a difference.
