I see people in the responses to my tweets about anti-trans legislation going "and imagine who they'll come for next," and I think they don't realize the way they're implicitly positioning trans lives as nothing more than a canary in the coal mine for rights they *do* care about

Nobody seems to give a damn. Arizona has been a violent racist deadly nasty not because of Mexicans blacks Natives and Jews. In college we had a bar called The Stonewall a brutal murder against a young gay man and no one remembers 50000 Japanese were interred here in World War II

It's pretty terrible. But I am doing all I can and we just keep swimming. The genz kids coming up aren't perfect but are doing pretty great to stomp that nonsense.
