I see people in the responses to my tweets about anti-trans legislation going "and imagine who they'll come for next," and I think they don't realize the way they're implicitly positioning trans lives as nothing more than a canary in the coal mine for rights they *do* care about

We are not even the first canary. We yell loud about disabled people and poc and indigenous and homeless, and and and, but they ignore us then too. They ignore them then too. They ask what comes next because they don't do enough to roll back what happened. What next? Help us!
