Hell, yes! Despite 25 years of experience, and 10++ leading #a11y, an employer viewed my skills as mid, hired as such. I changed things so those hired afterwards were hired higher. 馃獪

Depends. I never want to work in code and QA and testing again beyond learning. Technical #a11y is not the only option. Advocacy, changemaking, social meaning, and for me, no access means no Web. Accessibiliy First. Not under UX, not tacked on. It is the Web. no access, no web.

Agreed, Mols. I am frustrated my so many who missed all that folks like us did. They value those who became rich & famous excluding swathes of the world.

Yeah, and I laugh. They are powerful? Rich? NET WORTH? we're a species of awful. I got awful and it is exhausting. I will never give in to greed. I have simple enoughness. What hurts is human loves dead, and some anger at how easily I believe lies or don't see the bad at all! xo
