I am an oncology patient of 9 years. No opiates pain meds or those fentanyl Blues I see lying on the ground in parking lots left there by people so high or so Dad they can pass them along to more people and caused more deaths in US history this past year. Spread life not lies.
Just a reminder, this is what we are up against. @GovRicketts 👀

Well done Max! It's been a moment of hope then Twisted messaging from very pale people who are convinced Fox News is America at its best and most true. So tired of this. We need Federal reform. Especially since the seat of our federal government in DC has legal cannabis SMH 😂

Well, the US has a (IMHO) very strange approach to "active" substances. Sometimes, it looks to me as if the government has their ties in the industry (by making something illegal, the black market blooms…). The current approach is very one-dimensional and simplistic. 1/n

OK, I may be a bit biased, but I occasionally had to cross the infamous "needle park" in Zürich to go to work. And the measures the city government took (often against federal law) did really work. (and, repression just became a small part of the strategy). 2/2

… Methadone does not work. • Programs to reduce/eliminate procurement crimes (job programs, housing help etc.) • Accepting addiction as a (social) health issue, and provide according help The whole strategy did work, and there are still addicts, but no open scene. 3/3

Really glad it worked! We've had these types of programs in the United States for quite a while. As for Methadone not working I'm not sure about that I've known people who have gone to methadone treatment and stay on for life. I don't know myself never really engaging in that.
