What is it that you want? Be very clear about it. Then do the steps.

That makes sense when we have control over our choices in a given situation. But I've never known anybody to reverse two terminal diagnoses. I'm doing the best I can surviving as long as I can and that's about the best I can do. Any advice for that?

A fountain of optimism, y'are, Ivan :) - I'm searching to find my way to hope and forward-thinking again. I believe I shattered, physically, emotionally - from illness, medications, trauma, grief, loss...finding my way back has not been easy. I lost faith and hope. It happens.
