Thank you for sharing as an act of compassion, loyalty and friendship. There is a problem however in our society about depression it is often misdiagnosed mistreated and very misunderstood in terms of causation there are so many factors

As someone who has had and been treated for mild depression in the past, I know a bit about what it is like. There’s this stigma you feel, even as someone who’s fairly resilient to what other people think.

It’s complex, though, and every person’s experience will be different. It’s perhaps through discussion we can lessen stigma and have a greater understanding, and even make better diagnoses.

We are very quit to make correlations and assume they are the truth. Read the DSM sometime if you haven't already and I can promise you with the exception of schizophrenia and genetic disorders nothing in there is truly scientific

Our health care in general seem biased towards quick diagnoses, and of course mental disorders can quickly decline, so I can understand. It’s that lack of true understanding of our overall being, isn’t it? Maybe that’s simply out of our grasp, but we can learn more for sure.
